I'm glad to see that common sense prevailed in Loudoun County, VA. No word of charges against the "friends" who helped him break into the house. I think they should be held accountable for the death. I feel for the homeowner who undoubtedly had his life turned upside down by the whole affair.
Notice in the story though, the avoidance of the term "break-in" and using "entered" instead, all in the name of being PC.

Loudoun County's top prosecutor says he will not file charges against a homeowner who fatally shot a 16-year-old neighbor who drunkenly entered the wrong home by mistake.
Caleb Gordley of Sterling died from a gunshot to the back of his shoulder. His family said he sneaked out of the house and went drinking with friends. Walking home, he mistakenly entered a home two doors down from his own by crawling through a window.
I don't know, this smells bad, and I wouldn't be using this story to protect gun owner's rights At the very least it's a tragedy and I feel for the young man's parents.
I don't understand how you see this as a win for anything. A kid died, people are in mourning, and the homeowner probably feels horrible. I only see tragedy.

The innocent homeowner didn't end up in jail as he might in some more "progressive" cities, so this is a win.
