You can teach basic economic literacy. You can teach kids what "real world skills" are, but business is either a matter of lifelong learning, or an indoctrination. You simply can't teach one to be what they are inherently not.
What political indoctrination. I've never seen this at all in our high schools. I do think that in addition to the basic skills, high schools should teach how to survive in the real world. My daughter took consumer math which taught her how to buy a home, a car and things like that. Now that is useful.....algebra and geometry not so much.

I take it you haven't paid attention to HS curriculum as of late?

Sorry but I'm not going to watch a 9 minute video. I'm just saying there is no indoctrination in our local high schools.

There certainly is.

They spend inordinate amounts of time teaching pure crap and nonsense to young minds, so they'll be unable to comprehend reason later in life.

In other words, you don't want to spend the time to consider a different point of view .

Personally, this liberal would like to see more business education in school. It is an important life skill, just like basic math, science, etc. People can earn graduate degrees from expensive elite colleges and not learn until decades later that they deal does not cash flow. Might as well learn how to float your boat right off the bat.

...However, business education, in my opinion is severely underrepresented in the school curriculum, especially in a nation with capitalism. If there is one thing that can empower both workers and entrepreneurs is knowing just how much of what they learn has applications in the real world.

With proper integration of business education into the school subjects, not only will you have more inspired entrepreneurs with innovative and marketable ideas, but you will also have workers who will understand the value they could bring to their employers and the room for growth that they have.
Some schools do. It all really depends on the school district.
