It's obvious from reading this forum that there is an overwhelming hatred for the current First Lady among Republicans and conservatives. I'm curious as to why.

Conservatives, why do you hate Michelle Obama so much, compared to past First Ladies?

It's hatred spillover. The right-wing approach is to foster hate for everything that gets in the way of their egoistic, avaricious perspectives, and hate feeds hate, so there is bound to be spillover - more hatred created than there are things rationally related to their preferences to express that hate toward.

I don't hate her
but I do not respect her either
it has nothing to do with her being first lady it has to do with her as a person and her actions
besides why do people like you find it okay to dislike people that you dislike
but if someone dislikes folks you don't suddenly its hate
name me some folks you dislike and lets see how it adds up shall we
besides there plenty of "far right" as you like to call them that I have no use for either!!
I am not a robot I get to think for myself
do you???

What type of actions make you dislike her? How does she as a person make you dislike her?

Michelle is an unelected busybody. She is a faux-celeb pushed in our faces weekly on magazine covers and news stories only because she is the first black first lady. She did not earn the right to get so much media coverage by accomplishing anything in her life besides getting a make-work job at a Chicago hospital that was so important that they did not back fill the job when she left.

'Because she's black.' Admit it, that's the answer you want to hear, right?

I don't hate her and I think she is an attractive lady. However, she appears to be the unwarmest, least likable First Lady in my memory. That takes some doing when you consider Nancy Reagan is in that mix, although it is a somewhat close race. This quote didn't do anything to endear her to people: "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country..."
