Uh yea. Last I checked, they have always asked personal health questions at a doctor. And last I checked, have used and they still use computers and enter your info into databases.
Nothing new here people, move along.
Well, as HappyTexan points out, under the Obama administration, HIPAA's protections have been strengthened so that insuranbce carriers can no longer put their noses in health records regarding treatment they don't pay for. So - something has in fact changed.
If you think cash to pay for other people is not being taken from you now, you are mistaken. We all pay for others through taxes and jacked up insurance rates.
The idea that it is not happening now, and has not been happening is pure delusion from people who choose to blame everything on Obama because they have been brainwashed by the Republican party.
So the medical field is going to be asking the same questions they have been since the dawn of modern medicine?
We better move to (abstract far right conservative nation) asap guys!
Actually no. Additional questions were added since Obamacare passed.
This is for the free preventative treatments. If they ask the questions then they can do certain tests for free depending on how you answer them.
These additional questions came from the US Preventative Task Force.

Useful link. Look at the date for the recommendation regarding counseling for patients at risk for STDs - you know, the one that started the thread? Now look at the date. Sure looks like 2008, doesn't it?
Memory isn't what it used to be, but - I could have sworn the ACA wasn't passed until after President Obama took office in 2009...

There's also no telling what the Obama haters will dream up with zero, nada, zilch, zip factual evidence and place in baseless allegations, eh?

It certainly does and it also says "counseling", not "screening".
But if you click on that link you'll see "Update in Progress" dated 2013.
Doctors should have been asking that question for years - at LEAST at your initial visit. Do you think it might matter to your health? For those of you still participating???

I know my doctor asked long before the ACA

C-D is back! Baseless allegations? You mean like those baseless allegations against the IRS, or the NSA? You know full well once your private medical data gets into the hands of the bureaucrats at the IRS or the HHS they have you by the cojones. Heck, even Warren Buffet, America's favorite billionaire liberal, is suggesting Obamacare be scrapped - Warren Buffett: Scrap Obamacare and Start Over | The Weekly Standard
So if one of America's smartest and richest men is suggesting scrapping Obamacare, why are you libs wasting your time defending it?
