It's not just history class.
We have calculators so it's not important to know how to add/subtract/multiply in your head.
We have spellcheck so it's not important to know how to spell.
We are electronic and digital so it's not important to learn how to write cursive.

I didn't argue that it shouldn't be a part of the lesson. I didn't say to not teach it. Nearly every single law, rule or regulations were revised during it's writing. These are something interesting to note but the discarded parts aren't that important.
