The Central Valley of California is the most productive agricultural region in the United States. The vast variety of fruits, nuts, and vegetables grown in the Valley is astounding, and the harvest from its fields is likely to be found in your mid-day salad. It's year round growing climate and its farmers ability to produce a surplus in critical crops allows California to feed not only the nation, but also the world.

It is the quality, freshness and unparalleled flavor of our state’s food products that make California’s food enjoyed around the world. The state’s agricultural abundance includes 400 different commodities. Among these, the state produces about half of U.S.-grown fruits, nuts and vegetables. To have this amount of year-round diversified crops is indeed one of California’s key strengths.

As can be seen by the map in the link below, the majority of Central Valley counties are red.

That begs the question: Why do Democrats and liberals hate the Republicans who feed them?

Lolz, slow news day? Or just had an itch to irrationally blame those you dislike?

I though it was going to be something meaningful such as not cutting Food Stamp Benefits or getting rid of the sequester BS that is hurting kids. Nice misleading thread title OP, but my head is stilll intact.

If you want to get rid of the sequester, then tell President Obama, since he is responsible for the sequester.

Very interesting that you consider a big government program to be "feeding America" rather than productive, working people who make real contributions through their efforts.

That is the difference between Democrats and Republcans - Democrats think that allowing people to sit on their butts and giving them money confiscated at gunpoint from others is good, while Republicans believe that people are capable of taking care of themselves, support encouraging employment, and the help of private charity to meet the needs of people.

And which race of people is tending the fields? Why do you conservatives hate the Mexicans who bring supper to your table?

"money confiscated at gunpoint" . You're not far from being an anarchist.

It is typical that a liberal, when confronted with facts he hates but cannot refute, counters with a blatant lie like this.

I suspect it's to change the subject, and get conservatives arguing over whether they "hate Mexicans", rather than arguing over whether they are the ones producing enough food to feed all Americans and much of the rest of the world.

Are you seriously trying to claim that conservatives produce all of the food that Americans eat?
