Wrong, Obamacare is already funded. Republicans are going to shut down the government because they don't like that fact. This shutdown belongs wholly and completely to the GOP. Even they know it.
Maybe Cruz could get up on the Senate floor and read "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" next, while gleefully pointing to the 2.1 million federal workers who will soon be without a paycheck. I'm sure it warms Republicans' hearts to cause more misery to hard-working Americans simply because they can't get a do-over.

Democrats proclaim: Little babies will starve, Republicans will kill grannies by throwing them off a cliff, people will lose their homes, roads and bridges will collapse killing millions, terrorists will destroy NYC, etc.
Reality: National parks will close, and people wont get to see Old Faithful for a few weeks..
The GOP has gone totally off the rails, which is why I now vote against them after decades of voting Republican and even sending them donations.
But this latest political theater they're performing is an act of pure desperation. They know that once Obamacare is in place and the public begins to like it, they'll be held to account for opposing it so strongly. Their vain hope is to somehow derail it before it gets that far.
Like the president said recently, "When the public starts to like the ACA, the Republicans will no longer call it Obamacare."

conservatives in Congress agree that the government should be funded. Democrats in Congress agree that the government should be funded. President Obama agrees that the government should be funded.
There is no disagreement over the funding of the government.
Yet conservatives seem to perceive that voting to fund the government is a concession to Democrats, it is not.
So again, can someone anyone tell me what is the conservative concession to the Democratic party that they should accept conservatives changing the health care law or anything else one bit?

Clearly the Senate knows something more than you do, because if its fully funded, they wouldnt need to budget for its expenses, would they?
...or they need to wait until they win sufficient control of the House, Senate, and White House, and then pass a repeal.
That's how this country used to be governed.
Nowhere in the Constitution does it say "if you don't get your way through the process we've set up, just conduct economic terrorism until you get your way." Republicans might as well tear up the Constitution and use if for toilet paper; they have now joined the ranks of anarchists and terrorists. Oh, the irony...

Then politicians started to ignore their constituents more and more counting on participation by low-information voters, a corrupt news media and big campaign spending to provide the path to their reelection.
Over time, the people have become frustrated with representatives who represent everyone except them and consistently choose party and cronies over constituents.
The people have said no to Obamacare over and over, and while their pleas have been disregarded in spectacular fashion, this doesn't mean the people have to accept a government that has them on permanent ignore.
My vote for a Republican Congressional Representative doesn't matter because I live in a district that has been owned by union thugs for generations, but people in other districts have been able to send Republicans to Congress to oppose a very bad law.
When you say these Republicans are no different than anarchists and terrorists, understand that the founders built stops in the legislative process because they didn't want a run-away dictatorship.

They're called grants, and they are already in place.
