When Obama took office Ahmadinejad said Iran's program was for peaceful purposes and they were not building a nuclear weapon, and earlier this year Ahmadinejad said nuclear weapons were a thing of the past, specifically...
Quote:
We do not want nuclear weapons for a few reasons… This weapon is inhumane. Because of our faith, we are against it. Our religion says it is prohibited, and we are religious people.
Yesterday Rouhani said Iran would never build a nuclear weapon. While Rouhani's rhetoric is a bit more definitive than Ahmadinejad, it is not a "turnaround" on nuclear weapons and I'd go so far as to say it's basically the same policy.
When President Obama took office, Iran was determined to develop nuclear weapons, resistant to the West, and utterly defiant. Republicans under Bush had been predictably ineffective, even detrimental, by their actions in that region.
Enter President Obama. Intelligent, resolute, dignified, firm, effective. He let Iran know in no uncertain terms where the US stood and sought conformance. He established dialogue, exercising a smarter foreign policy than his hapless predecessor. The result? New President sounds like he was listening.
Again, kudos to President Obama. Republicans wrong yet again. Without submerging this country into war, the President caused CHANGE in Iran.

Oh nonsense ...... the Iranians have been saying this from day one. They have repeatedly insisted that their nuclear program was for energy development only, and there has been no such "turnaround".
You ObamaBots are really quite disturbed and delusional. Thank you Satan.

Did you just thank an invisible demon that doesn't exist for people being delusional?
As for the OP, calm down. Iran's stance on nukes hasn't changed one bit, since they've claimed from day one they have no interest in nuclear weapons.
