The sequester was a bad way of cutting spending. It punished agencies that spent more wisely than other agencies that didn't do a good job cutting costs prior to the sequester. There are better ways of cutting spending than doing the sequester. We also should do tax reform that broadens the base and lowers rates, but one that also increases revenue to bring down the deficit.
Wait, you're starting to sound like a Republican with all of that common sense talk about taxing those who arent paying while lowering the rates to increase revenues.
Someone notify Winter that someone hijacked his account because he's now starting to say the same crap I've been saying for years, while he's been telling me I'm wrong
That's like saying flipping the light switch on doesn't make the light bulb come on, electricity does.
If Congress approved an increase to the debt ceiling to allow the Treasury to borrow up to $100 trillion in debt, that doesn't mean the nation's debt load is $100 trillion.
When did I say Obama isn't responsible for bills he signs into law. Obama clearly has increased our national debt. I also understand the context in which he has increased the national debt, so there is some nuance to my reasoning.
Then why do you spend so much time blaming Congress for laws Obama signed into law? Its very hypocritical of you to waaa waaa waaa, Bush all the time, and then switch to Congress when we're discussing Obama..

If the debt ceiling goes to $100 trillion, you can bet there would be an adjustment in the credit rating, even if the debt load doesnt go to $100 trillion.
Its no different than having credit card limits of $100K, on a $10K a year salary. Credit agencies view your credit limit as an excess and adjusts your rates accordingly..
To proclaim simply raising the debt ceiling doesnt raise the debt is stupidity because creditors look at the line of credit as well.

When did I talk about Bush? Obama clearly has responsibility for the laws he signs as does Congress who writes the laws.

I have a credit card with a $6,000 limit, that doesn't mean I have $6,000 worth of debt.
“Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘‘the buck stops here.’’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.” ~ Barack Obama
Well then switching to Congress everytime someone discusses Obama.. Almost like he's immune..
If you want to stop being a hypocrite, stop flip flpping and embarassing yourself
Btw.. what happened to the obama debt commission? And where did the Obama go who said raising the debt ceiling is iresponsible?
