Basically this Pope is stating that he can pick and choose which parts of Catholicism he wants to follow. This is completely ridiculous. Either follow a religion completely or don't follow it at all; there is no picking and choosing. Next thing he'll be adding an "acceptable boundaries of Pedophilia" clause to the bible. This Pope is completely full of ****.
How can anyone be quietly supportive of anything? Either you support it, or you don't. Toleration, separate but equal, etc doesn't work. You have to come out and say it.

Tolerant of what? We have multiple different issues under this one thread. To which issue are you referring?
Catholics in the US don't have significantly more kids than Protestants or Jews with the same educational and income levels.
That's nice but it is almost irrelevant. The (pro birth control) message needs to go to all the 2nd and 3rd world catholic countries for which that 6th and 7th kid is a bit of a burden on the family and that country's infrastructure.
