Apparently your ok with people already there walking out on the family. Did you know there is a difference between not being there and walking out

Both sides are despicable for what they do and why.
Congress even use their own members when it suits their purpose..Gabby Giffords was paraded around and is now back in the shadows until the next public outcry about gun control.
I never claimed that just having the family members there was despicable. There were specific actions by some of the Republicans that I felt were despicable. If I had a transcript I would post the specific comments by Republicans that I felt were despicable.

Many congressional hearings are just grandstanding by politicians. Parts of this hearing definitely fell into that category.

Thanks for posting this, apparently, Republicans are just as despicable. Talk about the hypocrisy from the right.

Only six out of 24 Republicans even bothered to show up for a hearing they demanded be held. What does that tell you about how much they really care about the families?

Really? Serious, honest question here.

We've been down this road before with the Pat Tillman family - including the parents of Pat Tillman in testimony before the House Oversight Committee. They wanted to know what happened to their son and questioned the cover-up.

Was that "dancing on graves"?
Was it "embarrassing"?

The Tillman family did not give up, the House Oversight Committee did not give up and they finally got to the truth of the matter.

Big difference in the Tillman case and the Benghazi case - Nobody walked out of that hearing and the Tillman's had the courtesy of being heard. The media was heavily involved in reporting it and their was a Republican President in the White House. Pat Tillman was killed in April of 2004 - it took years to get to the truth and the Media cheered that battle for the truth. Big difference today, but the parents of those men that were killed in Benghazi have just as much right to the truth as the Tillman family did. All the family involved in these cases just want the same thing .... The Truth.

Tillman's family, Lynch testify before Congress - April 2007

"We don't know what the secretary of defense knew, we don't know what the White House knew," Waxman said. "What we do know is these were not a series of accidents, these stories. They were calculatedly put out for a public relations purpose. ... Even now there seems to be a cover-up."
Remember the video? The State Department investigation that failed to investigate, the missing 30 witnesses, the missing President during the 9 hour battle - the lack of any accountability at all for anyone, including those who killed these people. This is only year 1, the Tillmans were still fighting for the Truth in year 3. Mary Tillman is correct - it is "really important" and must have ZERO bearing on the Political Party that sits in the White House or the Pentagon.
Quote:
"Our family will never be satisfied. We'll never have Pat back," Mary Tillman testified. "Something really awful happened. It's your job to find out what happened to him. That's really important."

Typical. And also embarrassingly sad. You'd think we'd still have a society where people had hearts and actually cared for others in times of need and crisis. Not Democrat (Socialist) politicians. Last year's attacks will not be forgotten and hopefully will be remembered in next year's elections for House and Senate seats. When we are more concerned about winning an election than we are about tending to people's needs, there's a big problem!

This isn't just a political opinion; this is about observing the true character of liberals, and it was on crystal-clear display in the hours that followed the attacks. The people who died were our people. They were human beings.
