Maybe it's liberalism is systemic throughout that university, and the comments like those of this professor are akin to everyday discussions in the teachers lounge.

Maybe but the school administration is perhaps in the lounge every now and then and we see what they think.

The professor does have some real problems with critical thinking as I note in the beginning but the school didn't back him.

I'm not a fan of firing people for saying stupid things. Showing the world how ignorant he is should pretty well cover it. I might require him take a NRA gun safety course.

Like I said you don't represent the "normal" thinking of progressive liberals. Some teachers are actually calling for dead children, not surprising which side is so vile.

Next time, let it be YOUR sons and daughters. Shame on you. May God damn you.

Is not the same as:

"Let it be your child that gets shot, you would be singing a different toon on gun control".

You even put parenthesis around it. At least you didn't try and defend your first attempt to misrepresent what he said. You should have quit then.
What do you mean ? My argument has not changed so i am indeed defending what i said in the beginning, he is not wishing for the death of their children, you are over dramatizing what he said.

Is this enough cites to prove that liberal progressives aren't the tolerant ones they claim to be? Sure looks like a bunch of violent loons who want people dead or hurt, in the name of taking guns away, or saving women, or saving minorities, or saving whatever is fk'n in vogue (posers); How ironic is that?

Well, that revision sure didn't take long. You need to go back and read it again, and again, and then one more time to be sure.

and how about this treat:
WND reports that the Austrian music teacher, Richard Parncutt, has written:
In this article I am going to suggest that the death penalty is an appropriate punishment for influential G[lobal] W[warming] deniers … GW deniers fall into a completely different category from Behring Breivik. They are already causing the deaths of hundreds of millions of future people**. We could be speaking of billions, but I am making a conservative estimate

so if I believe the sun is the primary cause of warming and cooling trends, and that MMGW is a myth designed to scalp trillions of $$$ in carbon credits from citizens... I should be put to death?

**Wanna bet he supports abortion on demand? Wanna bet he believes the planet is over-populated?

There's an old expression..."Someone else's ass is easier to smack" and in this case it is clear that the Professor meant that until a gun nut's own child is killed by senseless violence, they will never understand the grief stricken feelings of a parent that lost a child in that horrific way. I actually disagree with him in this case. We are always hearing about gun nut's children somehow getting a hold of the parent's gun and accidentally shooting themselves or another child, but I doubt that it changes anything in the parent's outlook. They're just too f'ing stupid. And let's not forget that the NRA is all about the money and lobbying power no matter whose kid gets killed so how can you expect people not to get really pissed off at these dicks? Not too bright to say it publicly because it will cause outrage, feigned or otherwise, but many people think about this, at least people that understand what empathy is, but maybe fail to realize that there are many others that just don't possess it...believe me.
