The most partisan, Divider-In-Chief to ever grace the White House apparently finds it necessary to compromise with a Communist foe while ignoring the demands of one half of the very constituency that he represents.

Could this President be anymore worthless??

What demands?

Are you talking about that steaming turd of an "Offer" that the Republicans made?

The one where they ask the Democrats to permanently roll back healthcare legislation, where in exchange the GOP will temporarily agree to raise the debt ceiling?

As I recall he tried to negotiate with Boehner & Boehner walked out. President Obama has been trying to negotiate with republicans since day one. Republicans=My way or the highway. You can't negotiate with children.
After making a threat to launch missiles on Syria, Putin decided to come to the table. Imagine that, two grownups negotiating for a solution.

That isn't what the neo-cons want. They want a "shoot first and ask questions later" sort of president. Too bad this is 2013 and adults are running things.

You speak of two issues out of many this President has refused to negotiate with the GOP on. Meanwhile, he and Putin are BFFs now. Thank you for making my point for me.

Republicans aren't asking for a negotiation. The Republican Party members in the House are making the DEMAND that unless President Obama dismantles the health reform that is the signature achievement of his presidency they will hold America hostage over the federal budget and refuse to fund the government, forcing a shutdown at the beginning of next month.

It's also comical that you claim the Republicans have some kind of legitimacy based on "demands of one half of the very constituency that he represents." Republicans are coming off an election in which their candidate, Mitt Romney, made it clear he would defund Obamacare. Mr. Obama, contrastingly said he supports it. The voters decided they wanted Mr. Obama and his health care reform. The GOP also failed to retake the Senate even though far more Democratic than Republican seats were at risk, and held the House only through gerrymandering. Democrats actually won the popular ballot for the House by 1.4 million votes. This is not a party that, by any conceivable standard of legitimacy, has the right to make extreme demands on the president.

Funny, I notice you don't disagree with me. Perhaps you were caught with your pants down and the light bulb in your head came on at the same time? What else would compel you to not provide a counterpoint if you do in fact disagree with me?

So your point was that the GOP offered up a "steaming pile of turd" as an offer?

Then it shouldn't be a mystery why Obama isn't negotiating that offer. It's lopsided about 95% in favor of the GOP's priorities, and about 5% in favor of the Democrats priorities.

Nearly 5 years in, the President has been reticent to engage Congress. Even Democrats are complaining. How do you explain that away Leroy?
