I don't care who paid for it. This is an illustration into the mind set of too many people who think our government is supposed to be a platform to showcase their personal agenda items. Our national parks are nature preserves, not platforms for showcasing exercises into abstracts of ideological thought. It's the national parks service, not the civil rights division of the US justice department.

NPS also oversees historical parks, like this one. They are not all just places for outdoor recreation. And civil rights history is American history, as is women's history. Just as much as the Civil War battlefields that NPS also manages.

I'd like to see them make a film about how Christian women started the Suffrage movement or how Christian charities have helped the hungry or homeless and see the uproar that would occur.

This happens to be a National Historical Site. Its in Urban setting. Its not a nature preserve. It commemorates part of the civil rights movement. The theme at the site will normally involve issues around civil rights.

Hailing Islam as a women's rights advocate is totally ignoring reality however. It OPPRESSES women!

Funny because those groups are all incompatible with each other. Muslims, gays, and women's rights don't mix together.

If you got your head out the sky you would know that I'm right. Muslims are not very supportive of women's rights, and they sure as hell don't get along with gays either. Those videos they are making are pointless as the groups do not get along with each other.

It seems his post was pertinent to the topic while you saying it was useless...... actually was useless.

I'm dealing with people who have lost sight of the purpose of our federal government. you are so far gone that you think an agency that was set up to manage our national parks is supposed to promote civil rights and religion, and well, apparently every other damn thing.

A linked to a Wiki site that lists some of the many federal agencies, do you think any of them deal with civil rights or history, or is that the job of the National Parks Service?

I'll bet if you looked through these agencies, we would find offices, with divisions, within sections, within divisions and dozens of overlapping offices, filled with bureaucrats working offices, wasting countless millions of dollars all dealing with all the same exact things.

It's why the GAO found billions of dollars in wasted duplicated functions, because some bureaucrat decided their office needs to promote their favorite agenda items too.

List of United States federal agencies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So when Nancy Pelosi says there is no where in our federal government to cut spending, she is full of horse****.
