" the criminals will still be able to get their hands on them, and in a variety of ways, including bribing crooked cops, bribing crooked government officials, stealing them, buying them on the black market, smuggling them into the country, MAKING THEIR OWN GUNS.

"MAKING THEIR OWN GUNS"!!

Exactly. ANY reasonably competent machinist, using a Harbor Freight milling machine, metal lathe, and power hacksaw, can build a working M3A1 .45ACP fully automatic weapon. It isn't even all that difficult to fabricate a 1911 .45 ACP pistol. The magazines, of course, can be fabricated using a 3-D printer or a Harbor Freight metal brake.

The scenario of this thread is ludicrous but it does bring up a closely related topic. When the Reconquista movement finally starts their secession movement in California and the southwest and the US government attempts to block it, will the UN intervene? After all, we supported such intervention in Kosovo.

A better question might be: How many of our armed forces will side with the UN or the politicians for that matter to go to war against our own people? The armed forces are not like they were during the civil war where units represented states. A good many of our soldiers are gun owners themselves, they come from families who own guns. As a vet I don't see a whole lot soldiers obeying an order to attack friends and neighbors.

Most criminals who use meth, heroine and crack find it much easier, cheaper and convenient to buy these substances; all of which are illegal to manufacture, import or sell.

So, anyone who believes they can keep guns out of the hands of criminals via laws is either quite ignorant or just willfully ignoring the facts.

You lie. If you wanted to prevent crime, you would be worried about the social and economic problems which cause crime. You aren't. Instead, you've bought into the Progressive fantasy that guns cause crime. You're a good little sheeple.

if crime could be prevent, why does it still happen? I hate to break it to you but pre-crime is a plot device in the sci fi movie minority report.
