White House Study Finds Guns Save Lives: “Consistently Lower Injury Rates Among Gun Using Crime Victims”

Quote:
But a new report commissioned by the White House titled Priorities for Research to Reduce the Threat of Firearm-related Violence suggests what many self defense gun proponents have been saying for years. The report, ordered under one of President Obama’s 23 Executive Orders signed in the wake of the Sandy Hook incident, asked the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the National Research Council and other federal agencies to identify the “most pressing problems in firearms violence.”

To the surprise of the authors and those who would no doubt have used the report to further restrict access to personal defense firearms, the study found that gun ownership actually saves lives and those who have a firearm at their disposal improve their chances of survival and reduce their chance of injury in the event they are confronted by a violent criminal:
White House Study Finds Guns Save Lives: "Consistently Lower Injury Rates Among Gun Using Crime Victims"

I expect that a lot of eyebrows were raised at the White House when the CDC and others came to their conclusions.

I'm guessing that this thread may go nowhere probably because Obama himself mandated the study to be done via executive order - Trouble is that the findings don't necessarily back up the agendas of the proponents of Gun Control ...

(links to the study are provided via the article link posted - The main report from the CDC is roughly 130 pages)

Happy Reading

Oh, I'm sorry.

I poked around a bit to try not to double post anything.

I knew the studies were commissioned by BO, but I never heard anything back via MSM, so I thought to dig around myself.

I don't have a problem with you posting about it. It should stay towards the top of the page for the gun grabbers to see.

Oh .. I'm sure they've seen it.

I'm just not so sure that they would be willing to read the report.

That's the trouble with people these days .. if they actually slowed down and took their time to read, we might be able to come to realize that we aren't so different after all ...

None of this is a surprise to me because our local news is filled with reports of homeowners shooting home invaders.

The Democrats prefer victims, more than they prefer victories.

Hope and change! Obama is the worst thing for the gun-control side in the last 30 years.

I suspect that the MSM will do their best to bury this report.
