That is silly- who in their right mind would adhere to such nonsense? Intelligent Christians follow the teachings and the brilliant logic of Christ...Intelligent Christians do not bother with old crap that is in the OLD testament that is just a record and glorification of horrible human behavior...I just wish that those who oppose Christianity would figure out what it really was....sadly fundamentalist Christians don't even know or understand what the Christian mindset really is. There are only a few paragraphs in the NT...that are at the core of the teachings of Christ...the rest is political garbage and is not to be taken seriously...The bible is NOT the untainted word of God...it's just a collection of books put together for political reasons and to maintain political power....Religion has little to do with GOD...or goodness or logic or reality for that matter.
What in the eff does liberalism have to do with any of this? 59 people killed by a bunch of effing thugs in Kenya isn't........sorry to say........a surprise. And liberals, nor conservatives, have anything to do with it.
I'm guessing it may be because:
- The far-left, and even the Obama administration, has a problem with acknowledging Islamic extremism.
- Many of above also divert from anything related to Islamic extremism to "But, but... Christians!" (they're all over C-D and elsewhere.) Or "But, but... the Tea Party! American so-called taliban!" (see also the IRS scandal and "they cling to guns and religion" under this administration.)
- Some are concerned these events will start happening more and more in the US (see Boston bombing jihadists.) When the far-left fails to admit there's a problem (due to political correctness) and this administration is too busy harassing political foes/conservative groups and spying on the wrong people, the incidents involving Islamic extremism are likely to increase.

The Bible does say that a man should love his wife as Christ loves the church, but the Christian bashers don't like any positive verses so they have to make up lies.
One of them went as far as calling the Holy Bible "old crap" and "political garbage". It is disappointing to see such comments, but what can you do.
Good that you are disappointed...whether you be a Muslim- Jew or Christian you have to use logic to understand that you can not take any compilation of old writings and insist that you are getting a direct instructional manual from God...it was put together by human hands and minds....mistakes were made...myth was perpetuated...and "political garbage" was inserted. Don't get me wrong....I have great respect and faith in most of the Holy Bible...but it will not save the world...nor will the Koran or Talmud...Every human being has the stamp of goodness, grace and truth on their hearts...it might be time we started to use that God given gift....

I am blissfully unaware of anyone who denies the existence of religious extremism, and specifically Islamic extremism. Please enlighten me.
I do hear some who believe that all Muslims are extremists which is no more true than all fill in the blank are extremists.
