Not in the case of Congress or the unions. They were not temporary waivers, they were blanket exemptions.

So you're admitting Obamacare is a complete flop, before its even been implimented?

Wrong again, must be that reading between the lines thing again you got going, clue there is nothing but blank space in between the words posted. After checking into the available packages for myself, I need to renew my old policy or pick a new one at the end of the month I found I was going to save anywhere from $50 to $125 a month, does not sound like a flop to me. It is the people whining about it that are going to push us even further towards a national health care system with all their whining if they are not careful. You do know that IF Repubs were able to kill Obamacare they will have to come up with a replacement for it, too late to simply go back to health insurance providers running the show as they see fit.

So you think that being able to rob someone else is "saving money"?

What are wrong with those rates? Remember those are gross rates before taking into account the subsidies. Meaning a lot of people are going to pay less. Those rates when taken the subsidies into consideration are very good when compared to employer provided health insurance.

I'd take those rates in a heartbeat, but such low premiums are available only for people in their 20s. The rest of us have always paid more, and the older you are the more you pay, and with pre-existing condition, you'd have to be a millionaire to afford it. So, the younger people will pay more, and older pay less.

I don't know if those rates are only available for people in their 20's. Obviously there will be rate differences based on age and health.

Kaiser has a subsidy calculator. Now based on this calculator its more about income than age. Although the calculator doesn't ask about your health and how that would factor.

For example a 61 year old person who earns $20,000 a year could get the silver plan for $1021 per year or $85 per month. This plan would cover 86% of preminums. This same person could get the Bronze plan and pay $0 and get a plan that covers 60% of preminums.

Like it or not, Obamacare is the law of the land. It was passed through the legislative and executive process, and it was reviewed by the judicial process and upheld. Those are all three branches of the government involved, folks, as per design. You may not like it, but it passed fair and square, and it's legal.

Don't like it? There is a simple solution: win an election, take control of the Presidency and Senate, pass a bill repealing Obamacare through the House and Senate, get the President to sign it.

There. See how that works, conservatives? It's in that there Constitution to which you like to pay so much lip service.

Guess what's NOT in there, though? Threatening to extort America's credit rating, stock market performance, and near-term economic health because you're all butt hurt that you didn't get your way.

And if the American public is so overwhelmingly in your court, Republicans, THEN WHY DID YOU LOSE THE RE-ELECTION?

If Republicans and conservatives love the Constitution and are so sure that they have the public support, then they should actually abide by the document and put their money where their mouths are: win the election in 2014, get super-majority in House and Senate, and then deal with Obamacare appropriately through the process that has worked here for over 200 years. Like it or not, that's how it's supposed to work.

Given that they've decided to skip all that and just resort instead to political / economic terrorism, what does that tell about what they think of their chances (and of the good of the nation)?
Hey, with people like Cruz, they can't miss!

But if the young people don't enroll (and given the dismal employment picture for them, many won't be able to even if they want to) the whole house of cards collapses financially.
