"The net household property tax burden in New Jersey rose 13 percent during Gov. Chris Christie's first three years in office. The growth is only slightly lower than it was in the last three years of Democrat Jon Corzine's time as governor, when the net tax bill went up 15 percent."
How is the Republican Machine going to spin this if he runs for President?
Christie is not popular with a lot of Republicans right now, in part because he is a RINO. This will be one more nail in his coffin during the primaries, his opponents will make sure it is known about and that it is one more reason not to have him as their presidential candidate.
do you know how government works?............if he vetoes the bills then the democrat legislature will not pass his proposals......its call compromise or nothing gets done.
Maybe the House and Senate in Washingtoon could learn something from that.

Sounds like all the nails in the primary coffin of John McCain (calling the religious right 'agents of intolerance', opposing the Bush tax cuts, etc.), the ones which assured he would never win the 2008 nomination.
Sounds like all the nails in the primary coffin of Mitt Romney (RomneyCare, supporting Planned Parenthood, etc.), the ones which assured he would never win the 2012 nomination.
Don't mistake me for a supporter of Governor Christie; I am not. I'm just amused at the notion that the GOP primary/caucus, with a long track record of going with what it deems the 'most electable' candidate, will inevitably reject Chris Christie.

And there is the problem for the GOP, they hate Moderate Republicans these days, intead they will trot out another field of crackpots, past rejects and clowns like they did the last two elections, people such as Cruz and Rand are two possibles and guess what, they will lose AGAIN, the GOP is not known these days as a bunch of fast learners.
Have you lived in California when he was governor the first time around and how about now: do you live there, where are you getting your information? Wherever you are a little misled.
You do not have to live somewhere to understand that place. California is not "broke." That's hyperbole. Frankly, the whole idea of governments "going broke" is a little silly. The voters in those places either refuse tax increases or spending cuts or both, and a ballooning deficit forces catastrophic cuts or tax hikes as it mounts.
There was a cadre of Democrats/ex-Democrats 20 and 30 years ago who were true deficit hawks. Guys like Pauls Tsongas and Richard Lamm and some others. I seem to recall Jerry Brown sounding some of those same notes, but I may be wrong. Those guys were actual deficit hawks. These right-wingers who want to cut taxes on the rich and then cut spending to programs that go to the poor that stimulate consumer demand cannot even remotely be considered "deficit hawks."
Evidently he was photographed in close proximity to Obama.thats enough for righties to throw him under the bus..Looking at this point in the game it looks like it will be Rand Paul in a landslide this time.

They hate just about everything and everyone yet they still think they have a chance in 2016.. Talk about living in an alturnate reality.

And why would anyone be suggesting that he should run for president? I am a Republican but would not vote for this disgusting man if you decorated him up as a Christmas tree.

Because he's one of the most electable republicans and not crazy rightwing like many of the most recent candidates. I hope he doesn't run in 2016, but he's one of the better options the republicans have.
