The answer is No they cannot. So why won't the Repubs sit down and hash out a rational budget that both sides can agree on to get the ball rolling? It does not have to be a perfect fix all budget the first time around it just needs to get done to kick start the economy. Oh wait, You LIKE gridlock, nevermind.
That's what we have agreed upon as a society. What's more...it was codified into the tax law based on the American system of government (debate, compromise, passage of a bill). So what gives you a free pass to complain about that, but liberals cannot complain about the laws they do not agree with?
