If you can not tolerate the KKK then you can not tolerate any other groups right to assemble and have free speech. Just as in Porn, if you can not tolerate the slime that is some porn then the most exalted words are not safe.
In this country, each citizen has the right to be an ignorant, repulsive toad. These KKK'ers are exercising that right to the fullest. And I will fight for their right to be that way, no matter how much I disagree with their slime and hatefulness.
They do not have the right to actually DO anything bad. But sitting around, making speeches, and holding up signs are not not "doing anything bad", by current definitions in this country. Nor should they be.
as much as i despise racist organizations like the KKK, i agree with little acorn. they have the right to protest freely, make speeches, make signs, what ever. and i too will defend their rights.
They have been Southern Democrats, but not Liberal.
Too ethnocentric and racist for a Liberal.
What else do you think a modern liberal is?
Modern liberals are people who are convinced that minorities cannot make it in society, without massive government help. So they set up tons of programs, from "Affirmative Action" to school quotas to home-loan quotas etc. to benefit minorities. Programs they never allow for whites, whom the modern liberals apparently think don't need any help, unlike blacks, Hispanics etc.
Democrats founded the KKK in the South in the 19th century (or earlier?), and have been providing its membership continuously ever since... including today.
Conservatives will have nothing to do with it... or them.
