You don't know much about "compensation" do you? Benefits are 'perks' that companies use to gain and keep employees. They are not money as in "compensation" and they are not a "right" of some sort.

Employee benefits in the United States might include relocation assistance; medical, prescription, vision and dental plans; health and dependent care flexible spending accounts; retirement benefit plans (pension, 401K, 403(b)); group-term life and long term care insurance plans; legal assistance plans; adoption assistance; child care benefits and transportation benefits. Benefits may also include formal or informal employee discount programs that grant workers access to specialized offerings from local and regional vendors (e.g., movies and theme park tickets, wellness programs, discounted shopping, hotels and resorts, and so on). Companies who offer these types of work-life perqs seek to raise employee satisfaction, corporate loyalty, and worker retention by providing valuable benefits that go beyond a base salary figure.

Your employer has no right telling you what to do with your compensation. Period.
This is absolutely true -- Only the Federal Government is allowed to tell you what to do with your "compensation" ..... and folks are getting a lithe sick and tired of that.

And you're implying a government shutdown will have no effect either?

When is this right wing stupidity going to end?

Sheesh..

I don't even listen to this donkey anymore. He just lies all the time and complains about Republicans.

He'll probably tell us how hard he has tried to work with Republicans, but they are so politically motivated they refuse to compromise. I can hear it all. I don't need to listen to him. He is a broken record.

Of course, the Democrats are not politically motivated at all, right?

Why should it? Why can't the House pass a clean bill that funds the government straight across instead of playing chicken with our economy?

I will add another one--why should the Senate accept a concession of a one-year delay in the implementation of Obamacare in exchange for the GOP's magnanimous offer of allowing the government to continue to function for a mere two months? That's all the time their CR covers. Why not offer to fund the government for that same full year? Because at the end of those two months, they will make further demands to dismantle the ACA, and we get to do this all over again.

Yeah, can't figure out why the Democrats aren't jumping all over this "deal."
It is amazing to me how so many conservatives can't seem to think.

Look, I get it they are for conservatives. I don't think much of conservatives when it comes to politics.

But none of that matters, all anyone has to do is look at the situation rationally, look at what conservatives are asking, look at the power they hold in Congress, look at the results of the last election, and look at the power the Democratic party holds in the Government to see that conservatives are being extremely irrational in their demands.

President Obama was re-elected, the Democratic party picked up seats in the both houses of Congress. The conservative nominee for the presidency focused on repealing Obamacare and lost. The conservatives repeated over and over and over again that this election was the last way to stop Obamacare and still they lost seats in both houses of Congress.

The Democratic party isn't asking for one concession from conservatives to fund the government.

The conservative party is asking for a huge concession from the Democratic party to kill their bill without making one concession to Democrats.

I just don't get how conservatives think that makes sense or is fair.

It won't. Never has, and this time is no different. If it does shut down, the Democrats will be to blame because they are so damn stubborn. It's their way or the highway.

Of course every poll disagrees with you. Maybe you're unskewing them, like you did for President Romney?

Speaking of stubborn. The ACA is law. The GOP are acting like asses, again. Enough said.
