Healthcare policies generally carry a term of one year. It is not clear if you have an individual plan or a group plan via your employer.

If an individual plan, there has never been a guarantee that the carrier will renew it or if they do, do so at the same price. Both parties are free to disengage.

There is no guarantee that an employer will renew the policy or if they do, do so at the same rate as the prior year. This has nothing to do with ACA and all to do with open enrollment.

We have received similar annual letters for decades.

There's been some Rand Paul talk that Congress should not get a 75% subsidy as they have for ages. Unlike his father, Rand Paul accepts the subsidy. This one is going no place, fast.
House approves Obamacare delay; shutdown hours away

Congress members are exempt because they are getting subsidies at the 75% level, despite their income being far above the subsidy standards established for us "little people"

Don't even know what Obamacare means. Where did this term come from? Why did they call it that? Is it universal health care or not? I don't know- Would someone explain this to me.

Imagine if 1/10 of the time, energy and MONEY that has been spent spreading misinformation had been spent improving ACA, it would be a very different ballgame today.

Agreed, if only Democrats would actually try to improve the problems with it, rather than pretending it has no flaws.

Senators, reps and staffers are employees of the U.S. government. The U.S. government, like tens of thousands of private sector employers subsidize the cost of their employee's healthcare insurance.

Can you tell us what those ideas are?

How do we subsidize the tens of thousands of private sector employer costs? And dont say tax cuts, because thats not a subsidy..

I agree. Unfortunately they used Romneycare as a basis for this. However, Romneycare is worse that that it applies to business with as little as 11 employees.

Please stop with the partisan BS. ACA became law 3.5 years ago. There's been ample opportunity to amend it/reform it. I am unaware of any sincere effort by anyone to do so. If you have better information than I, please share it.

I am aware that house has thus far voted to repeal ACA at least 41 times. I stopped counting after this.
