I am okay with her breastfeeding, but THE question remains, is she married or one of those "strong independent single parents?"

Here's What Happened When A Mom Posted A Photo Of Herself Breastfeeding At Graduation

Does her marital state matter so much? She had a hungry baby.

Who cares? She is feeding her child. What does being married have anything to do with it? When I was BFing I hated having to go sit in a gross bathroom and try and maneuver my way around just to feed my child. She graduated college, has a child, and is feeding the child the way nature intended. Should she lock herself in her home and not come out if she isn't married and not contribute to society other then to pop out babies? Get over it.

Why is that THE question?
Is the baby more or less hungry, depending on the mother's marital status?

Ugh.

Not to her breastfeeding in public. I could give two craps less.

But lord, do people have to drag their kids EVERYWHERE? This was the actual graduation ceremony. Why the heck was her 4 month old there?

She's graduating from college and giving her baby a good start nutrition wise. From the photo it looks like it was after the formal part of the ceremony was over, too. What is the big deal?

Who cares, as long as she takes care of her child.

Because shes a young person going to college. So she can't afford to pay for outrageous daycare in addition to outrageous tuition.

This is obnoxious. She is a mother and she is feeding her child. The societal gathering around the event has nothing to do with nature or the perfectly natural act that many women do in public places all over without Mercury going into retrograde.

As a young mother who successfully completed her degree, I can completely understand why she would want a photo of the moment. Why don't we congratulate her for that rare accomplishment instead of berate her for feeding her child naturally.

Actually, by the looks of the tassel I would hazard a guess that it was in the middle or before it started.

What's obnoxious? I'd have the same point of view if she had a 3 year old on her lap and was feeding her a Twinkie.

Kid shouldn't have been there. Period.

Seriously? What does it matter if she is married? The baby needs to eat every 2 hours, let it eat.
