So basically this is fake outrage, the DNC has a debt that RNC once had, but somehow it is wrong that the DNC has a debt? I bet come 2014 they will have a huge surplus and this debt will be a footnote just like it was for the RNC.
Their debt, their problem. I'm not sure why this is newsworthy except maybe it will impact what they have to spend on the next election.

That is basically it, I am not sure why anyone cares, much like I don't know why anyone would care in 2010 when the RNC had a debt. It happens after an expensive election season and is made up for during the down time and in the beginning of the next election season. Both parties go through this cycle from time to time, especially when they go big to win big elections.
Several executives at firms that contract to provide services to the party -- speaking anonymously to avoid antagonizing what remains an important if troubled client -- describe an organization playing for time as they raise alarms about past-due bills falling further behind. And senior strategists close to the DNC say they worry the organization appears to have no road map back to solvency. "They really thought they could get this money raised by the summer," one said, "but the fact is, from talking to people over there, they have no real plan for how to solve this."
So third party anonymous people are worried their bills aren't going to get paid, big deal. I will bet that come 2014 the DNC will see a surplus and will have paid off all their debt and have more than enough to spend on the next election cycle.

Oh, so some random guy who says he is "close to the DNC" said that on the internet, then it must be true. Again, who cares? Come 2014 they will have a surplus of money that will cover this cost and the next election.

They had a plan to pay it back and did, pretty quickly.

I notice you are ignoring the fact that the article is saying they can not pay their bills. Owing money and not being able to pay it back are two different things.
