Yes, a compulsory law mandating compliance should really shock you when people start complying. The threat of the use of force has nothing to do with it.

The outpouring of support from the public has been so overwhelming that some state exchanges have to temporarily halt new applications due to the ridiculous online traffic to their websites. The New York State exchange for example received 2 million visits in the first 2 hours alone. This is the message on the website:

Even in red state Kentucky the response has been overwhelming:

Some state exchanges are completely down due to traffic like the Connecticut and Washington State exchanges.

And this is just a sampling of the states that set up their own exchanges. The federal exhanges for the other states that did not set up their own are also overwhelmed. Reports are that the federal exchanges have already received millions of applications in only the first couple hours.

This is why Republicans wanted so badly to kill the law. They know that it would be extremely popular with Americans and they fear that it will become a permanent weapon in the democratic arsenal like Medicare and Social Security.
Wow really? Why wouldn't people sign up for handouts? Thread Fail

I went to the site to see the prices. I'm in Texas so it's the Fed exchange I went to.
There are no prices available to see or compare with unless you apply.

I left the site because I had no intention of putting in my financial information to see the prices.
I went to the Kaiser calculator instead which is updated for the various states.

So what's your party's solution for the tens of millions of uninsured Americans? Since you guys are against providing access to affordable healthcare, what's your alternative?

I noticed many of the lost to hospitals are the incompetent insurances or workers who don't understand how to handle the bills. Medical billers are constantly fighting over compensation of the correct amount of coverage. Honestly the medical offices secretaries have trouble understanding all the changes the insurances have.

Good grief! What a cluster ****. I'd be surprised if your government could organize a dog show...What a way to run a country. My kids could probably do a better job of it.

Those "profits" are what allows me to have a great hospital 10 minutes from my home with the latest equipment and most qualified doctors. Without those profits, most people will be standing in line at the local CVS trying to get treatment at their wellness clinic.
