To be fair, it is fairly popular; however, the far left wing nut liberals do not do themselves any favors by acting all wonky and ignorant as they're known to do.
What a lame-assed comeback. Romney denounced his own legislation
The more desperate the liberals get, the more blatant their lies become.
Romney repeated again and again, that he APPROVED of the Romenycare he signed into law in Massachusetts, and still approved of it today. He then went on to say that what was good for Massachusetts, wasn't good for the nation.
But the damage had been done. No sensible conservative trusts anyone who says that socialism is good "for SOME governments".
It's the reason he lost.
But if you're trying to top today's Liberal Lie Du Jour ("Look how popular Obamacare is!").... you'll have to do a lot better than that.
The ACA was modeled after what, originally, were GOP programs and proposals, and the plan inaugurated in Mass. under GOP leadership, if I'm not mistaken. The current law was fashioned with many "improvements" offered during the Congressional legislative process ... improvements offered by the GOP. I've no doubt the public favors the vast majority of the provisions of the law and once they weed their way through the anti-American rhetoric of the anarchist Tea Party and extreme right-wing elements of the GOP ... we'll see the level of support there is. As I heard someone comment in the media today ... this is a marathon, not a sprint. I've no doubt the Congressmen currently expressing their anti-American rhetoric would also have opposed Social Security, Medicare ... and, since the topic has been raised, the end to slavery. Time will tell the tale of success or failure and we'll all just have to sit back and wait because Americans don't support extortion and blackmail and an attack on our form of government and our laws such as we're seeing expressed by a few.

Many people did not have affordable options before Obamacare. 60-year-old male, existing heart condition. No way in hell could he have bought private insurance under those circumstances. Now he can.
You want to talk about disingenuous?
There is NO proof that the ACA insurance policies are "affordable" because "affordability" is relative.
A person who can't afford another monthly bill could care less whether the premium is $60, $600, or $6,000! If they can't afford another bill, they can't afford another bill!
How many health insurance plans pre-Obamacare featured:
a) Annual check-ups and procedures like mammograms and colonoscopies with no out-of-pocket costs
b) Coverage despite pre-existing conditions
c) No risk of being dropped by your insurance company because you got sick
d) No annual or life-time limits
All of the health insurance plans offered under the Affordable Care Act include these features and many more. *Some* people may have had access to health insurance that included these features, but people in general? No.
1. Given the glitches that have been experienced and the very high volume of traffic, I'm surprised that many people could complete the process of enrolling.
2. That said, the number of enrollments at this point is meaningless, and frankly, people should not be enrolling that quickly. There are multiple plans being offered, and a lot of information to sift through. The plans all have many crucial elements in common, but each plan is different in terms of overall coverages - in- and out-of-network, in- and out-patient charges, prescription drug coverage, coverage while traveling out of the country, and so on. There's a LOT to consider, and people need to take their time in order to make the best possible choice they can. And yes, among the choices is the choice not to participate.
We are not talking the actual policy coverages.....we're talking the ability of people to have a CHOICE in choosing insurance. You asserted that that "choice" was not available before, and I called you out on it. The issue at hand is "affordability"....which is relative. Just because a plan is "cheaper" than at any point in the past does not necessarily make that plan "affordable." If a person cannot afford yet another monthly bill, then they can't afford yet another monthly bill.

No one has disavowed implementation or support of ACA, these posts are just to jog the short term memories of GOPers on the origins of ACA.
