Leftists are simply not capable of thinking about alternative paths.

I swear, the RW is truly amazing.
Why do you want corporations to "rule over you"? Where does such love and trust of Wall Street banks and corporate CEOs stem from?
Reaganomics dictates that by shovelling money to the wealthy they will take care of the rest of us. How do you rightists justify such nonsensical faith?

Corporations have different interests they have to compete to survive. Corporations don't rule over us our government does.

So you never heard of mergers and monopolies, and such things would never happen. Right...
No, corporations do not have to compete to survive, in fact they can improve their bottom line by merging into monopolies and cabals for the purpose of fixing prices. That's where the money is.
The last thing a corporation wants is competition.
Okay, so you don't like anti-trust and consumer protection laws, the FTC, the SEC, and all that "big government" that "oppresses" you. How would you like a single oil company supplying all our petroleum needs? Sound good?
Talk about oppression...
United States antitrust law - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Somehow you are "oppressed" by a regulated universal affordable health care system, and you would rather be fleeced by a corporation with a genuine "death panel" which decides if your illness cuts too far into their bottom line. Amazing.

Your right on the Death Panel part for reasons unknown Republicans wanted businesses to set up Death Panels for Ryan Care rather than have a government Death Panel. The bottom line though with Medicare reform is that way too many Republicans are on Medicare for them to actually do any meaningful reform without bipartisan cooperation.

You read the "Constition"? Okay, it does not mention corporations - so you are inadvertently correct there.
Do you know that it proclaims the responsibility of government to promote the "general welfare" of its citizens?
What is fascism and tell me how it relates to my point of view. If you can't then you are an unhinged liar.

Actually the ACA has provisions that allow for states to implement innovative systems so long as they meet the same minimum standards of coverage. Vermont is still moving forward with putting together single payer through Green Mountain Care. Kentucky, or any other state could do the same if they were so inclined.

There isn't anything wrong with society collectively deciding to provide medical care to its citizens. Everyone should have to contribute.
Agreed. No one with an income gets to can't not pay into Medicare. This should be no different.
