I'd be Ok with getting rid of PR. Let them fix their own problems although it's birthrate is now low in 2013.

Texas: IF the US tried to sell it to Mexico; not likely since many Texans have guns and lots of LE which would go real bad for Mexico.

Cali: that'd be a tough call IMHO; it would depend on many things like IF the people living there would be willing to pick up arms assuming the buyer was Mexico.

Oregon and Washington: if sold to Canada, probably no big deal since word is Vancouver is much like Seattle in many ways.

IMHO: It'd be more likely for the US to own what is now Mexico and Canada than the other way around.

China: they're in real trouble with their working age pop going down in numbers.

Russia: too small and weak; half the pop of the US and much less money.

Any other country: not any time soon.

Agreed tho many states would join back together like Illinois, Indiana, possibly Ohio and Wisconsin too. New England states would stick together. Most of the "South"; same thing. Arizona, NM, Nevada and possibly part of Cali would join together and so on.

According to Title 12 USC Sec. 411, the government is an obligated party.
According to FICA (social security act of 1935), each "contributor" is also liable.
In other words, the 312 million enumerated "human resources" are pledged as collateral on that debt.
(Of course, everyone volunteered, right?)

Since you talking about selling states, lets sell the state of Washington D.C...... and all the people in it. That would solve all our prollems!!!

Raise taxes or sell some states, maintain bad habits and we are back at square one. the solution lies elsewhere.

look to drug addiction as a comparable situtation.....steal mom's jewelry to pay for your fix. Problem is not solved.

Agreed.

But some people don't believe in stepping up.

Putting aside the fact that this will not happen (not sure if it is even possible), but why not sell off states that aren't as large of contributors to the nation.
