If you really wanted to raise some serious $$, I would consider leasing the entire interstate highway system to a private entity to operate as toll roads on maybe a 75 year lease like Indiana did. At on point before the recession, PA was offered $8 Billion for their turnpike. Make sure the lease agreements specify allowable toll increase increments and spells out maintenance and upgrade parameters.

I wont be sold to Canada!
Canada would have to defeat our inevitable militias first. Do you have any idea how many of us northerners have a closet-full of hunting rifles?

I'm not all that sure Mexico could afford California, I'd be willing to give Arizona to Mexico for a bottle of tequila and a bean burrito.

In spirit of playing along with a dumb argument, how would you think that little amount of land would be worth $17trillion, and furthermore how do you think Canada would be able to pay $17T in 30 yrs (obviously with interest or you know nothing about finance)?

Uh; Mexico would pay a LOT for Arizona since so many of us have guns and WILL use them.
