If by "diplomacy" you mean having your original plan to illegally and ineffectively bomb a country that presents no threat to us with million dollar missiles in support of al Qaeda affiliates after announcing the attacks weeks in advance and for no other real purpose than to make Obama feel better about himself cancelled by public outrage and worldwide condemnation, then yes.

Now we can get on with the pre-Iraq-war-style chemical weapons cat and mouse game.

How So????? Nobody but you has mentioned race. What exactly IS your agenda. I'm confused. How exactly is Obama still killing Iraqis? We are not conducting drone strikes in Iraq. We have no combat operating troops in Iraq. We have embassy personnel but no front line combat troops. Where exactly are you getting this "Obama is killing women and children in Iraq?"

my, my, my...

The Obamaphobic lunatic fringe has shown up in numbers to disparage the president's accomplishment.

Who could have predicted this?

Perhaps you should recall what started this diplomacy effort. It was a gaffe offered by an exasperated Kerry that was jumped on by a Russian Minister and garnered momentum when Putin joined in. Initially Obama fought it, but public opinion and world wide pressure made diplomacy win.
Obama really had little to do with this.

Great to see that the WMDs Saddam smuggled out of Iraq are finally getting destroyed. It took several years, but we finally know that George W. Bush was right, and the Democrats were lying as usual about something.

You must be referring to the president meeting behind closed doors with Putin at the economic summit a few days prior to Putie announcing to the world "his" plan for his client state to avoid deep embarrassment and damage. Embarrassment that would have transferred in no small degree to Russia.

Quite a diplomat, that Obama. Giving Putin the opportunity to look like the hero.
