Can't speak for Gunlover, but that would be an extremely wrong assumption when it comes to me. I have given thousands of dollars to charities and church's who in turn provide services to charities. I have rolled thousands of miles on a road bike to raise money for MS and diabetes organizations, and I have taken numerous vacation days just to go work at charitable organizations. There are a lot of conservatives who do not make any effort to provide for those in need, but there are many who do. Painting conservatives with a broad brush is like making generalizations based upon race. I hold it is the same for how many right wingers who do the same to liberals.

My point is that generalizing the opposition leads to polarization, and that benefits no one.

I know. I spent last Veterans Day supervising a pavilion that provided hair cuts for free to homeless vets. You know. You never really can't understand how important a simple haircut can be to a homeless person. We didn't regulate who came, so many who were not Vets got their haircut, too. There was a point we didn't care. It was enough to provide and support this service to those who needed it. There was a point where I had to struggle not to cry, because these people where so happy just to get a GD haircut which I just regard as a nuisance once month like stopping off at a gas station.

Actually, your "rights" just like mine are very much subject to the views, opinions and approval of We The People of the United States. So, my friend, if my view, opinion or approval gains credence in the body politic...

As for who has been on the side of history, there is little doubt that "left-wing" views, opinions and approvals have indeed been on the right side of history. We've made it that way.

background checks, magazine limits, "assault weapon bans" they have not worked, and will never work, criminals dont obey the law.

We also have this thing call the Bill of Rights, and Supreme Court and their views and rulings be damned, I have the right to keep and bear arms, and that right shall not be infringed upon.

I don't care what you views are on AR15s, Sound Suppressors, or Machine Guns manufactured after May 19th 1986, because they have no impact on my right to own them..

You are forgetting we don't live in a democracy were mob rule is the law, we are Constitutional Republic. You know a nation and system were are rights are not subject to the views or opinions of the would be god kings of DC or 50.01% of morons that dont know the difference between AR15 and an M4

Yes you have been on the "winning side" not through victory, but by revisionism, lying, and indoctrination..

Enjoy your false victory, and it just that false hollow and a fantasy., "There has never been a group that has been so lost then to think they have won"

politics is a pendulum, it has reach the up most statist swing and is now returning to the Individualist segment, and it picking up speed. Barrack Obama Is The Last Hurrah of Liberalism.

Greater changes may be coming. In a provocative essay in the June issue of the New Criterion, James Piereson of the William E. Simon Foundation suggests America may be “on the verge of a new upheaval, a ‘fourth revolution’ that will reshape U.S. politics for decades to come.” The previous three upheavals - the War for Independence; the Civil War; and the changes that attended the Great Depression, New Deal and World War II - were inflection points in American history after which the country began moving in a new direction. Those fundamental changes take place every 70 to 80 years. The sudden and growing divisions in the country may be precursors to another tectonic shift. “We may already be in the early stages of this 21st-century revolution,” Mr. Piereson writes.

History doesn't matter to libs. Neither do facts or reason. They are carelessly brushed aside to make way for their "agenda".

Mean while the left wants to eviscerate the 2nd Amendment, reward illegal immigrates which amnesty and the ability to vote(I wonder which party they will choose), and paint anyone who stands in their way as "Racist" "Nazis" or "Domestic Terrorist"

Why does the Left lie about History, their will, and their intent? is it because no sane person would vote for them?(but then again that might be we they are importing 30,000,000 million illegals on top of 1.2,000,000 legal immigrated, to "Cast ballots Americans just are not willing to cast")

What is your take on this..
I should be flattered that you just created a cheap knock off of my original thread. Thank you.

Note, I never said the Republican party, but the "right wing" because unlike you, genius, I'm aware enough of American political history that the 1860s Republican party is vastly different from this one. You, apparently, don't. So don't speak about things you're not qualified to discuss. You look foolish.

Well, I suppose we'll have to abolish all laws, since only criminals break laws, right?

I agree, they only seem to see things through a narrow lens of their own status in life
