Why does the Left lie about History, their will, and their intent? is it because no sane person would vote for them?(but then again that might be we they are importing 30,000,000 million illegals on top of 1.2,000,000 legal immigrated, to "Cast ballots Americans just are not willing to cast")

What is your take on this..
The only problem with what you're saying is that the Republican party back in those days really bore no resemblance to the Republican party today. Also, after WW2 and still into the early civil rights days, the Democrats were the Southerners, who opposed equal rights and supported racism. After the part started to change and attract liberals in the North who supported civil rights, conservative Southerners eventually bolted and realigned with - guess who - the Republican party. So the two basically switched sides. What they were and what they are now are not the same. who were overly Democratic, precisely migrated over to the Republican party after WW2 because they disliked the Democrats' strong civil rights positions and Truman's push to racially integrate the military. So they switched to the side that wanted to keep blacks back "in their place" - i.e., the Republican party.

This is not always the case, because the left can certainly overreach. For example, the Reagan revolution had some basis. Taxes were high and government growth needed to be checked. However, he did not cut spending, and trickle down failed. But, conservatives have kept serving that same medicine to every possible problem for 30 years, and now those Reaganesque ideas are absurdly innappropriate.
Right, because why would we want a 9.3% bump in GDP?

Don't forget the Republican Party itself was actually a marriage of the Whigs & the anti-slavery wing of the Democratic party who broke away from the Democratic pro-slavery platform.

You also missed being against the KKK. Yes the KKK was founded during the Reconstruction as a backlash. They were essentially insurgents against the Republican led Union/North. They went around killing Blacks & White Republicans. Wanna guess what party these White Southerners supported?

I've never voted Republican in my life, but the OP & your posts are ignorant.
When are you people going to figure out the difference between Right/Left and Democrat/Republican? You are the ignorant one. Republicans used to be progressive/liberal (along with Northern Democrats). Southern Democrats were the anti-Civil Rights conservatives who later defected to the Republican party.

Conservatives have some valid points on solvency and size of big government. This is where liberals have some drawbacks, as they spend too freely and encourage a lot of debt.

Liberals have some valid points on things like civil rights. This is where conservatives tend to have drawbacks, as they more often tend to be the refuge for racists, bigots, and xenophobes.

The best solution is to be a moderate. Truth and practical policy usually meet in the middle, not at the extremes.

Sounds like you may be the one in need of some education... And not that sissy nanny left wing crap they're spoon feeding folks in the colleges these days. Had it not been for the republicans, Biden wouldn't have suggested that "they're gonna lock yall back in chains", because "they" would have never escaped to begin with.

The only difference is the democrats are more secretive about their true motives. Maybe you should take a look at the planned parenthood locations like gunlover suggested. Compelling evidence that's difficult to ignore.

Democrats simply want to keep a check on AA's, to keep them under their thumb. It's the new age plantation. AA's are voting for their own demise when they elect these racists.

In other words, it's time to embrace the Libertarian platform.

Default Why is the Right Wing Always on the Wrong Side of History

They fail to grasp that time only moves forward. They spend their lives in a futile attempt to return to a past golden age that never existed.

Still cant get over the fact the major "obstructionist" were dems.
That chart shows the Dems voting NAY are southern. Quite a few southern Pubs voted NAY right along with them. Most northern Dems voted AYE. There were a number of Pubs outside the old south that opposed it, too.

But it looks a lot more like a vote along the old Confederacy lines than along party lines. And since the Dems were the majority in congress, the 1964 civil Rights Act wouldn't have passed w/o Dem support.

You might notice that vote was taken BEFORE the GOP's "southern strategy" became their SOP. Perhaps you haven't grasped that the racist Dixiecrats of half a century ago are now the racist teabaggers of today.

Things can change over a 50 year timespan. But change is what conservos oppose, so it's not too surprising that you've missed all that.

Just FYI.

Why does the Right always lie about the Left lying about the Republican party being on the wrong side of history?
