Nope, one that has always known the truth. The American middle and working classes are being squeezed out of existence by pressure from above and pressure from below. Their numbers are decreasing and likely will continue to decrease. In their place we are creating an upper class wealthy elite growing ever more wealthier and a permanent poor underclass with entitlement and victimology mindsets, with sufficient numbers to vote themselves "Free stuff" forever. Thanks to the OP I have learned and added a new label and definition that has been added to my vocabulary, one that will be used in discussions and debates of this nature, "Parasitism", very good.

You live in the peoples republic of Commiefornia I am shocked you did not learn this 30 years ago, I did living in Vegas looks at the once golden state, as the age of 14(now 22) Glad you have seen the light and taken the Red Pill.

If you hate "paracitism" you should start at the top. Where is your outrage at those inflating costs of government contracts? They are stealing your money. Where is your outrage at "too big to fail" banking institutions? They have their hand out for government to cover their bad investments. Where is your outrage at sweetheart trading deals? NAFTA and the like. Rigging markets for the benefit of a few. Thats not free market capitalism. Last time I looked there weren't numerous lobbyists for the poor buying dinners and paying for vacations to get congress people to vote their way or writing the bills congress votes on. For every "welfare queen" you can cite there are two fat cats sucking off more money from the government. I have no use for paracites. But lets include all the paracites.

People of fewer scruples now had the power to "vote themselves money" that is, to exploit the naive sympathy or noble sentiments of an entire community. So the modern parasite engenders a mass political movement for parasitism, citing the material abundance around him as evidence of injustice (unfairness). And just as the traditional, "private" parasite requires a rationalization for his behavior, consisting of excuses for his inactivity and sophistries to support his claim on the efforts of others, so the new, mass-movement parasite.

To plunder is to take by force what belongs to another man, and to do so knowingly. To anticipate slightly, we might contrast the traditional tyrant with the parasitocrat by observing that the former declares to his subjects, in effect, "You built that, and now I'm taking it," while the latter says, literally, "You didn't build that."

See, you all believe in absolutist positions. Food stamps and welfare are always bad. This isn't true. But no one is offering an alternative, other then to say, it's bad. We shouldn't just cut a program with no idea of what will replace it. We need some social programs, and most folks on these programs don't want to be.

But those roads were paid for with my taxes. Or in the case of a toll road, it is a mutually beneficial, voluntary transaction that benefits both parties. For a small fee, I drive on a road that will get me to my destination faster.

No. If the .gov had not "invented" it, do you think that something from the private sector would not have filled the void of digital communication? And I currently pay a monthly fee for access to the current, best way to transmit digital information. If something better comes along, I will take my voluntary transaction to that vendor.

No. I exchange currency for food.

No one is 100% self sufficient unless they live by themselves in the woods with nothing but what they can make with their own 2 hands.

I work in exchange for money. Money is a tangible, lasting representation of my work. In a 100% barter economy, not everyone would need my services when I needed a product and vice versa. The farmer can't grow year round and even if he could, his product is perishable. The carpenter could outlast the farmer in a barter exchange. In all of these cases, each person has invested both time, effort and sometimes capital into their product or service.

On the other hand, a parasite has invested nothing but reaps the rewards of someone else's work. I would not resent them as much as I do if I could voluntarily provide for them. Currently, that is not the case. The federal government takes the representation of my labor (money) and gives it to the people it wants to help. I have no choice in the matter.

Do we get any appreciation? A Christmas card in the mail? The guy using the EBT turning around to thank me while standing in line at the grocery store? No. I'm told that I'm greedy, selfish ******* for feeling this way. How do I respond? I tighten up the budget even more. What little bit of charity that I can afford after taxes are taken is now focused a few causes that I really believe in. Everyone else can go ask the feds for their handout. It's a vicious cycle.

Other income earners ride on those roads, use the internet, and eat food they didn't grow, but they pay no federal income tax whatsoever to help fund such. That's the problem. They're TAKERS.

It's a symbiotic relationship. Get free stuff in exchange for votes.

Actually I got it in the late 60's and early 70's with the rise of the welfare state.

Those of us that believe in and support the free enterprise system are just as outraged and disgusted with "Crony Capitalism" and corporate abuses as are those on the Left. This is not free enterprise, it is monopolyism. While some neocons may partialy support such abuses, paleocons and Libertarians have vehemently opposed the practices cited in the above paragraph.
