Congressional Republicans Vote 162-113 to Continue the Shutdown
Happily, every Congressional Democrat voted to end the shutdown. And, fortunately, there were enough Senate (28-16 for cloture; 26-18 to end the shutdown) and House Republicans who decided to take cut their losses (they could have gotten a better deal, minus the massive public relations debacle, three weeks ago - smooth move there, holding out for a worse deal and a big hit in the polls) and join the Democrats in finally ending the shutdown.
The final tally:
So, the final Congressional vote to end the shutdown broke down as follows:
Democrats - (198 House + 54 Senate Yea, 0 House + 0 Senate Nay) = 252-0 to end the shutdown Republicans - (87 House + 26 Senate Yea, 144 House + 18 Senate Nay) = 162-113 to continue the shutdown
What was the point of this idiotic shut down again?
It was pointless. Which was definitely said from jump. They achieved nothing other than pissing off 800,000+ people who have had to explain to creditors why they can't pay their bills. Most importantly the vets can now go visit the monuments and national parks without their Confederate flags and faux anger.
But all tops will spin tomorrow, explaining how this was some kind of victory for tea baggers.

You must be a Maddow fan. Time to get a better source, then you won't sound like such an raving lunatic!
This was a pointless farce in every sense of the word. Basically a bunch of babies throwing a tantrum because of 2012 and 2008. It's comparable to those sad people in the South who still call people North of Maryland and Missouri Yankees and are still fighting a war they lost almost 150 years ago.
Wow! One of the most ****ed up things I've ever seen in government. The Republicans are right, government is broken. At least we know which party needs fixing now. 2014 can't come soon enough.
After a couple of weeks and putting a million people out of work, the GOP end up with NOTHING.
Lets look at some of the headlines shall we?
