Jay Carney says 'we don't need legislation' to pay military death benefits | WashingtonExaminer.com

After the house unanimously passed legislation yesterday to pay veteran death benefits to surviving family, usually done so within three days, the senate agreed today. The Obama administration say no, that a private foundation is taking care of the payments. The "Commander-in-Chief" is not looking out for his troops very well.

Sounds like a win-win to me. Isn't one of the rallying cries of the right "let private citizens/charity take care of it?"

What's the problem?

Hooray, the relatives of the people who got killed fighting the federal governments battles will get paid.
Common sense would dictate you don't join the military in the first place.
