I found it disturbing when groups that use snakes in their religious practice have been told that's illegal. I think that's ridiculous. If they want to use snakes, peyote, mushrooms, cannabis, as part of a religious experience, the gov't shouldn't have anything to say about it.
People are responsible for themselves, the gov't is not responsible for us, or the decisions we freely make.

Those are people who have abused drugs.

You know how many alcoholics there are in this country? Did you know that drunk driving accounts for 30% of traffic deaths in this country?

Isn't it some Christian faiths that serve wine with communion? Was it not Jesus who turned water into wine?

How do you have the authority to tell me what I put into my body? Ex. Marijuana.

Should people be granted rights to use certain substances on the basis spirituality?
Is this just another thread where you try to justify your illegal drug use?

That was one of the better non-answers you have given so far. Let me ask again, are you just trying to justify your repeated drug use?

A non answer would be you not answering my question.

I unapologetically use marijuana.

Now if your trying to make a moral judgement than proceed to do so. Don't dance around it.

And again, are you a spiritual person?

Stupid question, stupid fundamental premise.

The use of drugs that does not harm other people should be legal.

Whether it has a connection to a religious practice has nothing to do with it. You might familiarize yourself with some of the relevant Supreme Court precedent on this topic, and particularly the concept of neutral laws of general applicability.

Don't you work on Wall Street? How many rails do you blow through per night?

(Kidding, but in all seriousness coke is rampant on Wall St.)
