Ben Carson is far more intelligent than anyone on the left --- but one problem is that Carson thinks at a much higher level than do the lower IQ crowd.
I think he needs to get them to understand what slavery actually means, why it is so evil. It comes down to who owns your labor, your work. Do you work for yourself or for someone else? Do you voluntarily buy something or is it forced and you have no choice in the matter?
I understand Dr. Carson is an intelligent man, but to whom exactly was he speaking to when he made the dumbed-down analogy that Slavery and Obamacre are as equal in their destruction of America?

I think all the folks caterwauling about your new health insurance system being just like slavery should have to experience the following: A neighbour who doesn't like you rats you out to the military, fingering you as a terrorist for a couple of thousand dollars. That night American soldiers knock down your door, terrorizing your family and putting a bag over your head then dragging you away. Then you're chained to the floor of an airplane for a day, flown across the planet, and incarcerated without trial in a military prison. Then you're tortured physically and mentally: sodomized with glow sticks, put head-first into sleeping bags and beaten, mock-executed, all sorts of fun stuff. Even when they stop torturing you, they still hold you for seven or eight years before letting you go, if at all, even after admitting yes, they dragged you from your home on no better basis than your jerk of a neighbour's say-so.
Then I'd like to hear those people tell me how health insurance reform is the end of their liberty.

Yes sort of like when a senator calls people terrorists. Comparing those who disagree with the ACA to people who blow up innocent civilians. To the men who flew planes into the Towers. Calling people arsonists, Jihadists. The left has no moral high ground. All those condemning Dr. Carson were silent when their own side used inappropriate analogies. Some can make the argument that a sitting US Senator calling their co-senators such a term is beneath contempt. Dr. Carson has no power over policy. He has no authority.

There is no bottom line for the government..private business have a bottom line and have to run efficiently. The government is run on the peoples' credit card and answers to no one.. They have cost overruns because they have a blank check written by the people.. and every year they get bigger .
They've been critical of it for years...all one needs to do is take the time to read some of it and understand to realize it's a disaster waiting to happen. Giving it a year to see how it works out will make irreversible. What will people do that have dropped their coverage for a plan that's being subsidized if the funding doesn't work out as expected and it can not be supported...they may not be able to go back to what they originally had. The government will just run it in the red and print more money.
