Wow. I think it more hilarious that his Right wing buddies are coming to defend his gullibility. And yet they call all not RWs low information voters.

In an interview on American Family Radio (AFR), the conservative Republican explained her belief that the resulting economic crisis would ultimately lead to the second coming of Christ."

Pope Benedict Comes Out as Gay - The Daily Currant
"Pope Benedict XVI announced today that he has resigned his papacy because he is gay and "could no longer live a lie."

Rick Santorum Files for Divorce, Blames the Gays

"Unfortunately the homosexuals have ruined my marriage," he explained to reporter Bruce Nolan. "Every year more and more of them get married, and every year the relationship with my wife gets worse."
"Ever since the Supreme Court struck down DOMA, we've been sleeping in separate rooms. It's like I don't even know who she is anymore. This is what the gays want: to destroy the institution of marriage. We won't be the last."

Hard to believe you actually thought the article was real.

Actually no, it's not hard to believe at all.
You do not gave to edit that much from rwnj talking points to create satire or parody. Which is probably why they always seem to fall for it. It is also probably why Brit comedians do so well in the US.

I absolutely agree with you.

They are so consumed with hatred for our president that they see what they want to see in these headlines and don't even question their validity.

Like a guy I ran into on another forum who posted as fact something he'd read in the National Report - that President Obama had declared November "National Muslim Appreciation Month" (or something silly like that).

He, too, wasn't very gracious when busted, even though he had been called out before for posting as fact satirical headlines.

This whole scenario is just a reminder that "Half the population is (by definition) of below-average intelligence".
I think it's pretty obvious (and not at all surprising) which half.

impeaching a president is really not that hard to do, simple majority in the house. convicting the potus of that crime is another whole ball of wax. 3/4 of the senate has to vote for his conviction.

Except that he never was.

Pre- impeachment investigative proceedings were begun after a resolution was brought before the House, but the proceedings promptly fell apart and were dropped before any bill of impeachment was every brought to a vote by the full House. Without a full vote, there is no impeachment.

This is identical to what happened to Nixon.
A congressional committee investigating White House ties to a criminal activity- the Watergate break-in- found that White House staffers were complicit, but for months, could not prove the President himself was complacent. When the 'smoking gun' tapes were uncovered that were proof Nixon was complacent, the committee was preparing a bill of impeachment to present to the House when Nixon resigned.

In Clinton's case, there was a similar criminal investigation centered on improper investments conducted by the Whitewater Group.
Starr, a special investigative prosecutor, found possible evidence of the Clinton's involvement, but it was never proved.

The impeachment attempt jumped the gun, and never had the solid evidence that was found in the Nixon case. So it fell apart. Starr continued to investigate Whitewater throughout the remainder of Clinton's second term, but never found any evidence that was worthy of impeachment. The only penalty the Clintons had was a minor fine. Some of their divestment papers, when they sold off their shares in Whitewater weren't properly filled out.

Sexual hanky-panky has never been an impeachable offense by the law.

During the Clinton investigative proceedings attempts were made to prove Clinton was criminal in his affairs, but no evidence of criminality was presented.

And that's what killed Newt Gingrich as Speaker of the House. He indulged in his own hanky-panky, and resigned. Another Speaker was nominated, and he, too, resigned because he also fooled around. Dennis Hastert became Speaker as the 3rd in line. The House Republicans were so damaged they dropped it all like a radioactive rock as fast as they could and tried to pretend it never happened.

Impeachment of dozens of appointed federal officials has occurred over the course of time. That's the only way, for example, that a federal judge can be forced to give up his bench.
