My 92 year old father thinks that the tea party are 'pretty straight shooters'. Now that he's collected SS and Medicare and lifetime retirement from the Army, suddenly it's ok if a handful of loons in Congress hate government and want to do away with it all. When I asked how he would feel if someone 'took away his Medicare' he says, it's much harder once you've already had it.

I don't argue with him because, well mainly because he's 92 and hard of hearing. And not as sharp as he once was so he's easy to fool. Shame on you Palin and Cruz for convincing my elderly father you actually stand for something besides your own self-interest! He probably sends money to Palin's 'PAC".
