Democrats had already agreed to keep the sequester cuts...But after the GOPs extortion bid backfired, they figured why not get a little something back. Things like that happen when you let morons like Cruz pick a fight with no plan our back up strategy.

There's a common debate tactic I see on many forums and comment sections these days. You say something negative about Obamacare, and you get a response that boils down to "It's the LAW. Passed by Congress, Signed by the President, upheld by the Supreme Court!"

To which you can respond:

"The Fugitive Slave Act was the law. It was passed by Congress, signed by the President, and upheld by the Supreme Court. Not all settled law is right. "
And how did the Fugitive Slave Act get overturned? It was overturned by Congress, which is how the three branches of the government functions. You and I know the Senate will not be overturning ACA, so don't count on ACA being overturned any time soon, until then you will have to accept that it is actually law.

Why not sign up and take your ACA subsidy? Most Republican will.

"a little something back"?

You're talking as if this a personal conquest motivated by greed.

Do you REALLY think that subsidies are not harmful?

Why would you advocate leeching off someone else's earnings?

What does that have to do with the utter crapola that is Oblablacare?

And really, do you have a crystal ball? Congress has a record low approval rating. Voters would be better off flushing the toilet and starting fresh. Not an R vs D thing at all.

LOL wow! The independent contractor does not like when republicans use the power of the house but when it comes to slavery it's ok.

Obama lovers are hypocrites.

Funny how borregokid (even after being told in another thread) does not get that the law requires people to comply and sign up. For the SECOND TIME borregokid, it's the LAW REMEMBER? Why do Obama leeches IGNORE truth.

We passed DOMA too.
Obama didn't think it mattered that it was the "Law of the Land".

We have Immigration Laws.
