The conservative PC police are lurking. No thinking outside of orthodoxy. No practical action allowed.

To stand up for the PRINCIPAL of freedom, you must give up your freedom.

Those are the "nut jobs."

And who failed to bring a single bill to a vote, which would fund government and get it reopened, dragging the entire debacle out for several weeks? Harry Reid. That's who. Harry Reid with his "my way or no way" attitude.
So you believed that the "defund" strategy with the engineered shutdown were sane? The voices in your head told you this could work? Or did you know, as Cruz did, that it was doomed from the start?

And you think "prioritizing" your obligations (i.e., choosing which ones get paid and which ones do not) was not an abdication of responsibility, a default by definition? The voices in your head said that this was just swell, as long as interest got paid?

And you do not doubt for an instant that the will of one half of one branch of government can overcome the deepest desire of the other branches? Did the voices in your head tell you that counting votes was not necessary?

It depends on how long you have been paying attention, but have you ever noticed that when the Majority Leader of either house of congress and the president firmly agree on something, it has just about always been "their way or the highway?"

Just wondering.

These senators are not conservative? Well then they would all get my vote. When are the cons going to learn that the reason they keep losing is because of the hard right ideology of the tea party? Simply amazing.

These are also conservative politicians that have the shred of honesty that it takes to tell their constituents that overturning ACA is a promise they cant keep. Tea Party voters haven't given much thought to the fact that if a group of conservatives could change a law, why hasn't Roe v Wade been overturned in 40 years? Forty years from now aging Tea Party politicians will be drawing pay checks and collecting millions in campaign funds declaring that ACA will be overturned ...one day.

If history serves as a guide to the future, those "negotiations" the Democrats promised will never happen. That is the way they always work. "Pass this now, then we will negotiate the details later." Right.
So where do you get your news from?, as you seem to imply general media outlets are ..unreliable..

Negotiations? Scrap Obamacare or we're shutting down the government doesnt strike me as leaving much room for negotiation..

I say vote the fringe out.
So you want the very same people who ruined the economy through manipulation and picking the winners and losers to stay? Talk about stupid.

When will people learn that the reason the economy hasn't recovered is because of the big government ideology of the progressives and rinos? Simply amazing.

you know what would be nice if both parties had to wear stickers on their jackets of every corporation that donated to their campaign, when they are running for office. That way we know what legislation they will be passing for those companies.
