I am not surprised businesses want to get rid of the Tea Party after their anti-business crusade in the last few weeks.

Business groups stand by Boehner, plot against tea party - The Washington Post

Despite presiding over a chamber that nearly drove the country to a debt default, John A. Boehner still has the enduring support of a group that would’ve been most harmed by that event: the business community.

Rather than revisit their strategy of supporting Republicans after this week’s near-disaster, influential organizations such as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce are standing behind Boehner. More importantly, Boehner’s friends in the business community are getting ready to take sides in a few Republican primary races against tea party candidates in Michigan, Idaho and Alabama who could cause the House speaker more trouble.

“I don’t know of anybody in the business community who takes the side of the Taliban minority,” said Dirk Van Dongen, longtime chief lobbyist for the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors who has known Boehner since the lawmaker’s first election.

With businesses dropping support for TP, one must wonder who still supports them....

The American Taliban and the GOP have done more to hurt small and medium size businesses in this nation during the past couple of weeks than any of the things they claim the Obama Administration and a majority in the Congress have done similarly. The anarchists are largely in safe districts, though ... thanks to redistricting. The really sad thing is that so many of the constitutents of that ilk support what they did, even though it hurt their pocketbooks.

Well, you see how things work.

Businesses support the Tea Party, as long as the Tea Party is advocating for lower taxes on business.

Once the Tea Party ventures into the realm of government shutdowns -- which affects all these corporate welfare programs -- then the business community gets nervous.

LMAO So NOW liberals are perfectly fine with big business being in bed with government. You dumb, principle-less hypocrites. To actually be proud of it is even worse.

Big Business fears losing its foot hold in DC. But again, you once say you were against it, but now are for it. Hell, even Obama and liberals are in bed with some big businesses.

The Businesses said they will not supprt the TP. Worse, they said they will help anyone campaigning to get them out of Congress. What the TP did was irresponsible and reckless and their actions were going to deal a serious blow to businesses in US. Thank God the more mature Republicans were able to limit the damage to $24 Billion.

Good. I hope the business community primaries tea partiers to elect pragmatic conservatives.

The tea party has morphed into the kool aid party.

The business community has condemned the TParty for their actions that took the country right to the brink of a default. They want some sense of stability from the government. In all actuality, it's like the remark a commentator made on the business channel..... they don't really care which party is in power and is holding the baby.... as long as they don't drop the baby.

Thanks for the translation for those of us who don't reside in the conservative alternative reality.

You're my go to source to figure out what is going on there.
