I wonder what the OP think when Texas is going to go blue. There's only a matter of time before Texas's low wage, anti-union model is going to wither away when it turns blue.

Texas has survived for more than 250 years without Republican help...being a red state is a fairly new thing.

Texas knows a thing or two about living under occupations.

I might move to Texas too because it's not as regulated as other states such as Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and California.

I'd say that it's comfortable red, and unions are a joke.

What does? The dirt on the ground in the shape of TX or the people living there? They have lived under occupations?

This is what cracks me up about stuff. Politics...one news reporter gets higher ratings and "yay my team wins". Something happened in a place and "yay I win again for some reason having nothing to do with me!".

I'm feeling peckish about the immaturity on here today. It feels stupider than usual.

If everyone moved there, wouldn't the cheap land and cheap houses become more expensive?

Supply/demand?

Texas is a great state to do business in if you run a big fertilizer plant that has stored 4,000X the legally permitted amount of explosive ammonium nitrate and hasn't had an inspection in six years because Texas doesn't believe in over-regulating stuff, even though another fertilizer plant just like this blew up a year ago in the same way, and it kills 15 people and flattens a whole neighborhood and causes an estimated $117 million worth of damages and then the Governator flies in for a day to declare it a disaster area so your company can get bailed out by the state even you did a whole lot of stuff wrong so the taxpayers wind up paying for your extreme incompetence, complete incompetence, arrogant lawlessness, and total disregard for life and property.

Because, you know, Texas is great for business.

After 4 million fleeing Californians the land is still cheap. Besides the beauty of Texas is it allows people to adapt, NYC was like this before the commies took over. Houston there is no zoning so developer can build to meet demand without silly NIMBYs or rent control laws.

Yet California has seen its population increase, and NYC has been under a massive building boom with Bloomberg in office, including a number of rezonings to allow for a number of taller buildings. The city has also been seeing its population continue to increase.
