So is this a thread about the history of Hitler? Does this relate to anything present day or just a reflection on the past?
History repeats itself. It's worse with the Clintons than it is with Obama. The faces of people in a Clinton audience are always identical with the adoring Hitler followers. It's what happens when masses of people come to adore political leaders.
Funny how the more they lose, the more unhinged conservatives get.
you dont have to be a conservative to have these views. 4 days ago, my sons friend in
kindergarten got taken into the office and removed from class the whole day for bringing
his water gun to school. Thats here is Las vegas, still havent seen it make the news.
O tolerance, even for kindergartners, dont know what they did wrong, how can it be bad. Stupid
You can listen to Jfks final speech on youtube, about what he felt was going within our
own government....was he paranoid or a republican.(im sure it wasnt his last speech, but the speech was haunting). to dismiss people as unhinged rather than go out and do some basic research is lazy. Is it the end of the world, no, but our political system within both parties needs a complete overhaul before we really
do nosedive in that direction.
In keeping an open mind, I don't rule anything out in this day and age. Especially when you have people in this country, and probably certain politicians who think that the U.S. Constitution is just some outdated rag.
We have a large amount of people in this country, many politicians, and at least one supreme court judge who feel the Constitution is an outdated rag.
Yet while Ginsburg's interview, posted on YouTube on Wednesday, lauded the
Founding Fathers' "grand general ideas that become more effective over the
course of ... more than two sometimes-turbulent centuries," she also said she
"would not look to the United States Constitution if I were drafting a
constitution in the year 2012," given its original exclusion of women, slaves
and Native Americans.

So you are saying Republicans are better because they are unable to get the majority vote, thus do not have those masses of people? How was Clinton and the Clinton audience leading us to repeat history and create a new Hitler and why didn't it happen?
it's a standard tactic of you conservatives. Start losing, start comparing Obama and Democrats to Nazis...claim that they're about to abolish the Constitution, blah blah blah. Bunch of paranoid nonsense.
Btw, pretty much all of the civilized world has "a welfare state" by your standards, and they don't have Hitlers running the show, so something is wrong with your premise.
About to abolish the constitution? They just ignore it. Obama has done many things that should have resulted in impeachment but every time any of these are mentioned we are reminded he won again. He is rewarding his followers with free food, free housing, free medical, etc. But older people who have been paying to the government for centuries are said to be the problem. Turning the young against the old.
We have immigration laws that are being ignored too. Obama is doing a dance on immigration laws. He is changing laws he has no right to change and handing out favors he cannot legally hand out. Our "president" is acting like a dictator. I don't think he knows the difference between the two.
The government has labeled Christian values as being hateful in a memo to the military.
And those that say we rate congress low are correct. I am disgusted with the lack of backbone those talking against the Tea Party have. Cannot wait until the next chance to vote these cowards out of office.
The cult of personality is a well-known dictator trick. The idea is to present yourself as the most amazing thing possible. To do this, dictators plaster their photos all over the country, or even give themselves nicknames.
If you control what others see, you can control their perception of you, and come off looking a lot better than you are in real life.

Exactly learning about history is a good thing no matter who is in office.
