For anyone who actually wants to know about the origins of National Socialism in Germany, start with the Polish-Bolshevik War c. 1920. Never heard of it? WHY is that?
Hitler's entire message was based on fear and paranoia. I know of a political faction in America today who's whole political platform is based on fear and paranoia.

Nope. Hitler's message was based on desperation and hope for relieve. And punishing those people that put Weimar Germany into the position it was in. Germans at that time didn't have anything to fear or to lose for that matter.

If it wasn't about fear and paranoia, then why did the Brown Shirts (SA) conduct Krystal Nacht and other midnight riots including Burning down the Reich-stag? I suppose since so much time has passed they are now viewed as the party of "hope and change" of the German people. Kinda like an internal peace corps.

Krystal Nacht was about punishing and doing away with enemy of the state (the Jews). The Burning down of the Reichstag was in the eyes of the German people an act by the communists. So that they were declared the enemy of the state as well. Don't know why this has anything to do with fear or paranoia. It had more to do with vengeance and getting even with the people who are to blame for the state that Germany was in.
The Nazis started as a group of veterans of WWI trying to keep the communists from taking over Bavaria.
Look it up.
Yep. The Nazis and the Communists had violent encounters nearly ever day in Berlin before the election of 1932.
