Would you stop thinking logically when you talk about the Dems?

Let's say that the theory is right, that "O" will delay it. The spin that comes from that will wipe anyone's memory that the Republicans did try to delay it, and will turn it around that the Republicans tried to push it through really fast, before it was ready, in order to make it fail.

C'mon...you've been around long enough to know how it works.

They aren't brave, Kos is only pissed because it affected him, personally. If it didn't, he would have thought it was grand.

Don't drag the young, but sensible folks like me into this. I don't know what your age is, but don't forget who raised this current crop of neo communists...

I'm just glad I worked for a decent company that provides health insurance at no cost to me. A small victory even though the idiots reelected one of their own.

They must be out of their minds, I can't pay that. Still hoping to keep my present policy.

Flat-out denying the Republicans' request for a year's delay for the Obamacare individual mandate may very well be one of the dumbest things Obama, Reid, and the Dems have ever done.

If the business process and web site/system/project is a bad as some infer, he may be forced to.

Blame will then fall on the IT technology/people/project. Ways will be sought to blame the Republicans and the Canadian tech company someone(?) hired as major contractor. This despite the fact that they had been fired in Canada for poor performance in similar, probably smaller/easier, projects.

Canadian officials fired IT firm behind troubled Obamacare website | WashingtonExaminer.com

Finger pointing and 'fault' seeking is well underway. Techies are scrambling frantically to 'fix the system' before it stops the young from signing up within enrollment deadlines. It isn't clear how 'broken' the system/project really is to the outside world. They may not even KNOW within the project itself. This problem is probably a lot bigger than some perceive as a simple web site. Be glad you are not working on or (shudder) in charge of this project.

Obamacare insurance market deeply flawed: Aetna CEO

If bad enough, even mighty politicians may soon realize that they can't edict immediate solutions for bad architecture, flawed processes, projects and systems ....no more than they can command 9 women to produce 1 baby in 1 month. This reality could force deferral of some or all of the sign up and subsequent process. It may even explain some of the previously granted deferrals associated with Obamacare. If bad enough it could damage the funding model required to support implementing Obamacare as planned. For example if 2.7 million young already shaken by costs may lose confidence in flawed technology and fewer than planned sign, costs for seniors and then eventually others will increase (more?).

Spin will soon reach record speeds...stay tuned and hope the IT geeks that are probably parachuting in can pull some rabbits out of the hat.

Insurers all have their own websites that are selling Obamacare plans.

The Federal exchange and the state exchanges are not necessary.

But don't tell the idiot Dems.

So free stuff needs to be at healthcare.gov and state web pages. But the irony of all this is the free stuff the government is giving out requires no true income verification. People can pretty much attest that they make X amount for free care or free money.
Then the debacle that IS the federal exchange is a good thing.

Secondly, I have participated in threads like this for many years, including prior to Ocare. The more conservative Rs have rampaged for that entire time about how people should pay their own bills, "personal responsibility", ask why any service other than hospitalization is even covered, yada, yada. Now, they have the opportunity to buy such plans, with the added perk of covered physical exams and preventive care, and they're shrieking about that? Doesn't make sense.

Doesn't make sense that it creates as many, if not more, problems than it solves (which are scarce) yet is still supported as the next best thing to ice cream by supporters of this administration.

Why no outcry of picking & choosing what parts of the Law to follow by the same?

Those will Bronze Plans will default in great number just as always.
This Bill creates more bills for the least that can afford it.
