Those high deductible plans were for people who actually desired to go that way, a high deductible with low premiums. Not everyone wanted a high deductible plan. Now 90% of us are forced into higher premiums along with higher deductibles.
Before 0bamaCare it was about the right to choose what was best for you and yours, now it's buy 0bamaCare policies or get punished by the IRS.
LOL, the old "that's different"!
Most people still get their insurance through their employer. Only those who work for companies of fewer than 50 will have to buy individual policies. And who says only 10% can afford more than a bronze plan?

I smell hypocrisy!
And many small companies are downsizing to less than 50 employees to avoid providing health insurance. Which means people are getting laid off due to the ACA.

Obamacare WILL cost the young and healthy more. Given that Dem voters tend to be younger, have the Dems adequately assessed how willing the young are to pay much more for insurance to subsidize everyone else?
It has always been clear that ACA provided expanded health care at the cost of forcing the young into the program. Nothing new and actually reasonable. They young would prefer to remain off the system and simply claim human rights when the odds nail them. We really were never willing to let them expire in the ER parking lot.
So certainly not completely fair but less bad than the system the young had going.

The issue isn't forcing the young into the system. The issue is forcing the young to pay 2-3x the going rate.
