Everyone loves to get paid for doing nothing. But they have to earn it all anyway, so what's the benefit?

Precisely how was it determined that you have a right to more money because you work beyond a certain number of hours?

Food Stamps for Low Income
Oh, it's so nice to splurge on someone else's dime at the grocery store...

You bet. Going to college to get a degree you can't use to get employed is SOOOOO intelligent.

Pray tell, who's gonna get healthcare for free? Or were some Obama supporters foolish enough to think that?

They only people I have heard repeatedly say anything at all about free health care are the right wing idiots here on P&OC.

Perhaps having your head firmly hidden inside some orifice is the reason you don't hear much.

This is an extremely naïve topic.

Free Healthcare? It's not ever free. In those other countries that have Universal Healthcare they pay taxes up the rear, furthermore it is far from a perfect system. For example you cannot choose your Doctor in many of those countries, you have to see a Government mandated Doctor instead, there are also issues with longer waiting times for emergency conditions and treatments, and there are not very many specialists either, which is why people who need a particular treatment or thereapy come to the US instead of staying in their home countries because their home countries don't offer it. There are some aspects of other nations health care systems that I think we can learn from, and vice versa, but the idea that liberals keep spouting about it being a Utopia is simply not true.

Higher Minimum Wage? Have you ever studied economics? Every time the M-Wage is increased businesses are forced to raise their prices, which leads to hyper inflation of the currency. It also forces them to have to cut or lay off employees as they may not be able to afford to keep them anymore. Businesses only exist to make a profit, this is their bottom line and it always will be, when that profit isn't coming in they have to make some drastic changes. Furthermore, the M-Wage causes money to be worth less, if you were originally making about $20 an hour, and they raise the MW to about $11 an hour, then they also raise the prices again, which means that you are now paying more for items you used to be able to afford and you have no pay increase on your part. Every single economist worth his salt will tell you the same thing, the MW is a BAD thing.

Vacation Time is mandated by employers mainly, though I have never seen any Conservative be against it. More vacation time would be great obviously, but it depends on the business. A small business might not be able to afford to let people spend more time away from work, and increasing it could hurt them.

Overtime? Again I don't see any Conservative who has been against this.

Food Stamps? Lol this is so easily abused you have no idea. I'm not against welfare entirely, I believe there should be some social safety programs in place to help people. But it should be limited to short term ONLY! There are people who make welfare a career. That is wrong. I'm tired of having to work hard to support people who choose not to do so, I've been on hard times before myself, I know what it's like. But I have always pulled myself out of it despite the struggle.

Low Student Loan? I agree with this premise actually, but again who is going to pay for it? Me? Lol no way. Let's all be honest with ourselves for a minute, College is not what it once was. Today more people get useless degrees that they can't even use, while being indoctrinated by extremely pushy liberal professors who use their position more as a means to preach than to teach. The entire education system is broken and needs to be fixed.
