Yeah, right. I remember when there was an ad for Oreos a couple years back that had the stack of rainbow-colored creme filling. A few forums I was on were FILLED with RWNJs who said they'd never buy another Nabisco product again. A few even spoke of boycotting stores that sold Nabisco products.

If that is the case then yes we ARE intolerant of hatred and bigotry and you would be correct. That's a good thing in my opinion. I think what you really want is to turn this around and say that Democrats are "intolerant" of this kind of behavior, claim the victim status, and get a free pass to practice your own brand of bigotry with impunity.
Yes, we should remember that the appropriate response to bigotry is to be bigoted against it, and the appropriate response to intolerance is to be intolerant of it.

Women would be oppressed and abused in this country if a certain faction of Christians had their way.

Does Warren Jeffs and his ilk ring a bell?

It's the reflex reaction of liberals to accuse you of being afraid of whatever social experiment they're trying to push on you at the moment. Strawman arguments are used liberally too (pardon the pun).

I am a minister in the baptist community and my BFF is gay. So like I said I am buying the cookies...
